And are we ever glad! It’s been threatening rain, has felt humid and heavy, but no rain has fallen for weeks. I’ve had to run the sprinklers repeatedly to keep the lawn and garden looking good. But now Mother Nature has stepped up to the plate and done the work for us. I always feel rain water is healthier somehow than what comes out of a hose. Wonder if it is or not?
It will be a quiet weekend here. Joyce and I are going to the band concert Sunday evening in St. Joe; There is a wonderful band shell there that overlooks both Lake Michigan and the St. Joseph river. We can listen to the music and watch the sunset simultaneously. What more could one ask?
Today Jane and I are taking Pat to lunch for her 70th birthday. Shocking to think we are all getting to that age. It doesn’t seem to have slowed Pat up at all, nor my sister, who hits that milestone this year, too, so maybe we really are living longer and healthier.
