Dubuque

Here we are in Dubuque.  It’s about 5/12 hours from Stevensville; not bad.  Some of the scenery as we descended into the Mississippi River Valley was stunning.

We are just a little tired at the moment; a little unsure of what we’re doing.  We can’t get into the kennel until tomorrow, so that leaves us at loose ends.   I found coffee in the lobby, however, so I’m set for now.

Vera rode in my car.  That means there is drool and dog slobber everywhere.  Yuck.    The price of pet ownership.  I hope the arrangements we have made for her out here pan out; otherwise, back in the car she goes.   The problem with keeping her at home is needing to pay to kennel her everytime I want to come out here.
