Worn out

We’ve only been traveling seven days, so why do I feel like we went half way around the world?   Never mind,  I don’t need to hear the word ‘old.’

The Florida house looks good; Don and I both wrote out lists, and to my delight,  we agreed about almost everything.   We shopped two days in a row.  He now says he will never shop again.   Haha…good luck with that.     The lists weren’t all about purchases; there were also ‘to do’ things on it…..tear out a carpet,  some power washing outside, that kind of stuff.

Yesterday we drove to Charlotte and spend the night with my brother Dan and his wife Debbie.  The grands were there (they are full time caregivers), so we got to spend some time with those delightful little people.   For some reason kids love Don.  They were all over him.   Funny.  This morning, four-year-old Walker greeted me with this,  “Aunt Barbie,  I decided to share my English muffin with you.”  Awww.  I had already eaten, but so what?   We had a nice chatty breakfast together.   After that, seven-year-old Kinsey told me that I was ‘almost like family.’   Hmmm.  I explained that I WAS family, being her Papa Dan’s sister.   Her next question:  “What is Don?”    I said he’s family, too, and that was that.

We are now in Virginia.  Don’s cousin Pete and family are meeting us for dinner.  Then tomorrow, we’re going out with a realtor to look at properties.

And I’m already so tired i can’t think.  Oh, well.  At least I’m not bored
