Life

What can I say?  Life.   It goes on, and some days are just frustrating.   Yes, I’m still talking about the VA.   (SCREAM).   OK, I’m done, for now anyway.

On other fronts:   my heart is now pumping at 56%;  it was only managing 40% right after the heart attack.   This is a huge improvement, so the doctors are all happy.  Me too.   Normal for a heart is 50 – 70%.   That was new information for me, as of September anyway.  I had no idea hearts were such slug-a-bugs.

Tomorrow will be a lovely day.   My friend Jane’s birthday is this week, so I’m having her and two other friends for lunch.   Don is not accustomed to me entertaining; indeed, this is the first time since he has lived here.   He may not have needed to be told to stay out of the way, but just in case, I’ve taken care of that.  :D.

The garden is pretty well put to bed for the winter, and I was able to do it by myself,  a snip and a clip at a time.   Just in time, too, as it’s pretty darned chilly out there now.

Don has a new market for his lures, a sporting goods store near here.   This is exciting for both of us.   He’s out in the garage a large part of every day working away, and now has quite a display of beautifully packaged lures.

Life is good.  Even on the annoying days, I’m glad to be alive; glad to have a companion;  thankful for so much.
