We have such lovely birds in our backyard: herons, cranes, cormorants, seagulls, and many more. I ran down to the local bookstore this morning to pick up a book about the birds of Florida. We loved watching birds in Michigan, but these are all different, so we have much to learn. There’s a nice breeze on the lanai, even in this heat, and what a great spot that is to sit and watch.
Things to do this week: accept delivery of new dresser Tuesday; find the library; keep making room for the boxes full of stuff yet to come. So far, only one box has arrived…a small one with books and photo albums. I had made sufficient room for those items, but am not sure about all the other things I’m expecting.
Hopefully, the gardener will get those dead shrubs dug out this week and replace a hibiscus; also, hoping the painter will call with a date. So much of life is waiting. You’d think I’d be better at it by now. Ha!
