Yesterday marked seven weeks since we arrived in Florida. I had to look at the calendar twice to make sure that was correct. We have been so incredibly busy, it seems like we’ve been here much longer.
This week the turmoil will continue. A man is coming this morning to talk about a dock with Don. We’d like to get one in so he (Don) can start looking for a small boat. That will keep him busy and happy for, probably, the rest of his life.
We also have the floor man coming back, as there’s a bad spot on the living room floor where we accidently let something leak. (Dumb…don’t even ask.) So furniture has to be moved, carpet rolled back, and the bad piece cut out; new put in. What a pain, but it has to be done.
Don has an appointment at the VA in Sarasota on Wednesday. I’ll say this for the VA, it makes finding new doctors after a move very, very easy. I haven’t even begun to look for a primary care physician yet, so I’m envious.
Weather is now perfect….lower humidity, lower temps, light breeze, blue skies. Loving that!
