Ah, these peaceful days. A little gardening, a little housework, a lot of reading; and now that the weather is warmer, I’m back to walking with my friends. This morning we had Tai Chi; Friday is yoga.
Over the weekend, Don and I were invited to a neighbor’s for Wii bowling….a new experience for Don; I had done this with Noel back when. Anyway, it was a lot of fun, so we’ll probably do it again.
I read the news with growing despair. Congress has become a joke; well, has been for some years now. We do our best to vote wisely. It makes no difference that I can see.
It is still better to live here than anyplace else I read about. How do people survive, psychologically, in those war-torn countries? Physically, it’s just luck, I suppose: what’s exploding where; what are the odds of being there at that time. But emotionally, it has to be hell. My heart goes out to all the ordinary people caught in the turmoil.
In the meantime, life is busy in the park. Busy…and good!
