Even busier…

…and who thought that was possible?   Fun stuff, though, so no complaints.   Amid my own busyness,  Christina had some, too.  She celebrated her 39th birthday in London with Diana and her family!    Yes, Di took the kids out of school and accompanied Dave on one of his work trips.   From their communications, it appears they had a fabulous time, and how nice when children are comfortable with travel.  These will not be ‘fear of flying’ adults (of whom I meet many.)

And up north, Noel is settling into her teaching job; enjoying getting the program in shape; not just surviving, but thriving!    She and Austin will be down for a visit soon.  Hope Emily will come one of these days, too.  This is the perfect time of year to be in Florida:  heat not so intense; humidity lower;  roads not yet totally clogged with tourists.  Perfect, in other words!

I have finished painting the bedroom, at last.  Now on to window treatments.  I started shopping for a bed and end tables today; didn’t like anything, so that’s a project that may go on for awhile.  But, a step at a time.  That worked in the living/dining rooms;  it’ll work in the bedroom, too.   It’s not like I HAVE to hurry.

Next week I’m playing bridge THREE times….and I’ve been complaining about twice a week.  Hmmm.   I thought I had learned how to say “no,” but apparently not.

We had five neighbors over for drinks two days ago.  It was a lot of fun…these were not the hard-drinking crowd (except for one) which made it relaxed….and the conversation was actually interesting.   Those drinkers think their conversation is scintillating, but really, people.   You should tape yourselves sometime and listen in the cold sober morning.  Well, that was just mean, but truly,  drunk conversation is peculiar.

Still, life is good;  Don and I limp and complain in the mornings, but our aches go away as the day wears on.   Us and every other old person I know!  Smiles!
