Visiting

Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written an entry. Today I actually have something to write about: I am in San Francisco!

it’s been a year since I’ve been out here to visit family, and I am very happy to be here, despite it being quite a long day.  Actually, that’s not quite true. Since United Airlines added a direct flight from Tampa to San Francisco, it’s not a bad trip at all. The flight is only 5 1/2 hours.   Today, to my surprise, the plane was not full. At least half of the middle seats were empty. When’s  the last time you saw that on the plane?

As always when I fly, the first thing I do after clearing security is buy the New York Times.  That keeps me happily occupied for a good hour.

Right now the kids are still in school, so  i’m taking some quiet time – perhaps a nap – in preparation for the children arriving in an hour     Can’t wait!
