The basement is almost completed! There will be a huge family room, bath, and guestroom, plus a large unfinished area, to which many outlets and overhead lights have been added. This is where Don will put up his trains. He had a wonderful time building sets and playing with them in Michigan, but our five years in Florida were in too small a place for them. So this is happy news.
Of course, this means I have another 1400 square feet to furnish. Yikes!
First priority will be the guest room. Then I’ll slowly add things to the family room until it has a t.v. and chairs; poker table; and perhaps a table for jigsaw puzzles. Since the upstairs still need some pieces, the basement will have to wait for at least a little while. A girl has only so much energy.
Tomorrow I’m going to a matinee and lunch at a small dinner theater. Bertie is like the best tour guide ever!
I may wander down to the pool today; it’s certainly the weather for it, and the pool is lovely…complete with a waterfall.
