I leave tomorrow for a week in California. Can’t wait!! This morning I had the absolute thrill (it takes so little to make me happy) of checking in for my flight and printing the boarding passes on my brand new printer. I had bought it solely for this purpose, so you can imagine how happy I was that it worked.
In other news, we’re waiting for the downstairs furniture to arrive. It will be nice to have it look a little less like a bowling alley down there. Don is especially excited about his desk which has many cubbies and compartments. Of course, it may not be here for another seven weeks, but that’s ok; we’re not going anyplace any time soon.
It’s a rainy, miserable day today…election day. I voted by mail from my Florida address, as we have not quite moved here yet. Hope to accomplish that this winter and then just live in one place. I don’t know how people stand owning and caring for more than one home. Many, many of my friends do this, so maybe it’s just me. Whatever….I just want to be settled here.
Speaking of the election: I’m holding my breath. It never fails to amaze me that people don’t exercise their right to vote. The ads this year have been almost entirely negative. Very discouraging, not to mention annoying. I just want candidates to state clearly and simply what they stand for. Hahaha.
