How close are we to the complete takeover by AI and robots? This popped into my mind after granddaughter Andie helped me create an avatar that looks alarmingly like me.
We already have cars that drive themselves; can even park themselves! We have smart phones and refrigerators and God knows what else. Everything can be controlled by Alexis.
There are voice-controlled tvs; probably much more than that, but that’s the one I know.
Right now, everyone is confined, so person-to-person conversations aren’t happening. People text or zoom or Skype; even Facebook has an ap that allows groups to chat. This seems more and more normal. Will people even remember how to converse? Add in our avatars, and really, are humans even necessary any more?
