I live in Trump territory, and many, many of my neighbors believe the pandemic will vanish on November 4. They’re serious. I’m not sure how they make that theory fit the entire world, but…..
What I find funny is that the same people who can’t say enough about how inept the Democrats are simultaneously believe that the Democrats can create a fake world-wide pandemic and cause everything to be shut down, making them either the weakest or the strongest people on the planet. Hmm. Anyone every heard of middle ground?
My own opinion, and that’s all it is, an opinion, is that the virus will be with us for a very long time, controlled (one hopes) by a vaccine and some common sense practices, but never truly going away. Measles, which we thought was eradicated, has reared its ugly head again. And the anti-vaccers will surely refuse a COVID vaccine, too, so right there we have the worry that we won’t get it out of our country.
I have hopes of traveling again some day. My children are all very far away. I’d like to go visit them and have them come here. So far, 2020, has not allowed that. I’m guessing it won’t in the remaining months either, but I’m holding onto hope for next year. I miss them. I miss my children and grandchildren, even the grandpets. And I miss my friends, too.
