Tuesday afternoon, after Don and I had labored to clear a portion of the driveway, our guy showed up; finished the job and did the sidewalks and around the mailbox. YAY!
Yesterday we decided to venture out to the bank and grocery store. The roads…all ‘main’ types, no little country lanes, were very poorly plowed. They truly don’t know what they’re doing down here. Noel’s take is they probably read a manual about how to plow but had never actually done it. And boy, did that show. Half clear lanes; random piles of snow in the middle of the road; and on and on and on.
We stocked up with food for the next week. And it’s a good thing as another big storm is supposed to hit us in the middle of the night. Already many shelves were bare at the store! How the heck did people get there to empty shelves????
Anyway, we’re hunkered down for who knows how long. Puzzles, books, and now that I have Netflix, “The Medicis.” We’re good.
