From sitting in the sun to watching it snow

Ah, February! As Mark Twain said about the weather, “If you don’t like (it), wait a minute!”

I think he was talking about San Francisco, but it works here, too. At least we’re not in Michigan where they are experiencing the dreaded lake-effect snow.

The really good news is that the post-holiday COVID surge seems to have run its course. We’re now showing a 12% positivity rate. Because of that, I’m rejoining my bridge group this week. I have truly missed the companionship, not to mention the challenge of a good game.

Sad news: our next-door neighbors are moving to Tennessee. We really like them and are praying the new neighbors will be just as relaxed and easy to live near. Houses in our subdivision are quite close together, so it matters. They sold their house the day they listed it. Closing date is just a month away. On the one hand, it’s nice to know our homes are holding their value; on the other, well, sob.

Hope you are all getting back to having a life again, too!
