Rushing spring

I planted some gladioli bulbs yesterday. MUCH earlier than recommended, but gosh, it was 78 degrees out there!! In early April. Last night we had the first thunderstorm of the season, so you’ll forgive me for thinking it really is spring. I’m itching to get some dahlia bulbs and my zinnia seeds in the ground.

Don has set up a wonderful new arrangement of bird feeders on the deck, and the birds are flocking to it. We have seven goldfinches! Many others of course, but I love the goldfinches.
